Moriah Wenzel
Schedule: Wed – Fri
Throughout Moriah’s life, music has served as an outlet, which she loves helping others find for themselves. She began teaching music at age 15, tutoring tuba, and has since loved helping people grow their musical skill set. She has experience teaching ages 18 months to adults. It is important to Moriah that her students become independent, confident musicians unique to themselves. Her students are learning how to produce their best sound, read music, sight sing, transcribe pitch and rhythms, improvise, and build their confidence. Outside of private and group lessons in the studio, Moriah has directed elementary school choir through Mandarins Music Academy and sings in jazz, R&B, neo-soul, and pop groups in the Sacramento area. She is currently working towards a bachelor degree in Jazz Education with an emphasis in voice at California State University, Sacramento. During her time at CSUS, Moriah has participated in chorale, jazz band, vocal jazz ensemble as lead soprano and president, and marching band as tuba section leader.
