Steve started out by playing bass in a band with some of his high school buddies. Soon after, he started playing bass for his high school jazz band and began studying guitar. He continued feeding his love of music and passion for playing during his college years by studying music including deep-dives in music theory, ear training, guitar, bass and recording engineering. Steve holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music from CSU Chico and has been playing in varying capacities ever since. He has consistently played in worship bands over the years and currently plays guitar and bass for Bayside Church in Folsom. He has also performed in several bands including a cover band featuring Rush songs. Steve enjoys almost every style of music including rock, jazz, funk, country, R&B, pop and bluegrass. His diverse musical influences include Victor Wooton, Sting, Brad Paisley, Snarky Puppy, Steely Dan, Spyro Gyra, Greta Van Fleet, Dua Lipa, Joe Dart, Corey Wong, Brian May, and on and on.
