A pianist for over 13 years, Strong is excited to share his love of music and his instrument with students. Starting his musical training as a classical player, Strong has completed with honors the highest levels of the Music Teachers’ Association of California Certificate of Merit and won multiple prizes for outstanding performances in local competitions. He also has an enduring interest in jazz piano and improvisation, playing in school jazz ensembles for over 9 years including his time at UC Berkeley. Having worked extensively as an academic tutor, he is committed to teaching and supporting students in their learning endeavors whatever they may be, and at Music Lab he ultimately hopes to inspire a lasting enjoyment in playing music.
